Our driver will pick you up at the Riad at 8:00 in the morning. During the trip to Essaouira you will stop in Sidi el Mokhtar for breakfast, then you can admire the landscapes, the argantree plantations (the tree allows to produce argan oil, famous throughout the world. Its leaves are the delight of goats), take pictures of the goats on the argan trees, visit a free women’s cooperative where we explain the benefits of argan. Arrival in Essaouira is scheduled for about 12:00. Essaouira (formerly “Mogador”) is a port and tourist city located on the Atlantic coast of Morocco 174 km west of Marrakech. On the seaside, its white medina (old town) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is protected by 18th century ramparts, called the Skala de la Kasbah. Sprinkled with old copper cannons, the fortifications offer a view of the ocean. You are free to explore the Medina, the ramparts and enjoy the cultural richness of the city and its many art galleries. Admire the architecture of well-preserved old buildings and enjoy the magnificent views of the Skala on the Atlantic coast. We recommend you a good restaurant “Le chalet de la plage” to enjoy freshly caught fish and seafood. The city’s beaches are ideal for surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. Then take the rest of the afternoon to visit the old Jewish quarter and its synagogues. Departure from Essaouira is scheduled around 4:30 pm and return to Marrakech at 7 pm.
